DigiEye

ITMA, the International Exhibition of Textile Machinery, has been held every four years since 1951. It is the world's largest exhibition for textile machines and accessories and always takes place at a different location.

This year, 2007 it was held in Munich.

VeriVide Catching the DigiEye

VeriVide reports strong interest in its new DigiEye large area imaging and CAC60 CU conditioning unit which are on show in Hall A4, at stand 134. The UK firm, which produces colour and visual assessment equipment for quality and consistency, recently merged with DigiEye, which now operates under the VeriVide brand.

VeriVide director Paul Dakin told ITMA Daily News that there had been a good response from potential customers in both Europe and China. “Visitors have been impressed with how the Large Area Imaging can provide a visualisation of whole garments”, he said. “There has been particular interest for using it with denim and large products”.

Mr Dakin added that the CAC60 CU conditioning unit has also impressed visitors, as it circulates the conditioned ambient air through the assessment cabinet to bring the samples to the correct temperature and humidity whole, exposing the samples the samples to standard VeriVide D65 illumination. “This removes the need for a separate conditioning unit within a conditioned environment,” he said.

VeriVide had a large stand in Hall A4, conveniently located near to SDL Atlas and James Heal. A considerable area of the stand was used to demonstrate the versatility of the DigiEye system with the standard DigiEye system exhibited alongside the new products of DigiEye Large Area Imaging and DigiScan, a new image input for the DigiGrade software.

Michael Butterworth, colour technical manager, and the team were kept busy demonstrating the new products as well as the recent developments in the DigiEye software. Visitors particularly noted improvements in the imaging of Denim and Lace.
