DigiEye’s non-contact imaging system can be used to image a variety of materials including small or irregular surfaces of plastic components used in a variety of industries including footwear, automotives and packaging.
DigiEye can measure the colour of surfaces that are curved, textured, glossy or matt leading to it being used for the quality control of many coloured components. The plastic components can be compared to a colour standard of another material such as plastic buttons assessed against the fabrics to which they will be attached.
The DigiPix colour replacement feature can be used to assess a new colour on a product without the need to manufacture it. The realistic product image produced is due to the high definition imaging, which ensures that the colour appearance takes into account the geometry of the product, the degree of curvature and the gloss of the surface.
